For us folks impacted by adoption, the holidays are bittersweet. Amidst the very real joys of celebrating with family and friends, this season is also a time that we feel most viscerally the absences of people we love. While some of us are again leaving a place setting empty; others are welcoming long-lost family members to the holiday table for the first time. At Ohio Birthparent Group’s meetings this month, you’ll find folks who understand the complex, ambiguous and often paradoxical feelings associated with the holidays. Come celebrate, decompress and share what the holidays have in store for you this year with friends that ‘get it’.
